Anyone who has been doing battle in Nightworld over the last decade has noticed there are two main groups are out there: Hipsters and Douchebags.
I try not to give these guys much thought, but being an active participant in Nightworld, I have these guys constantly messing up my visuals while I am swooping fly girls.
These fleeting thoughts usually contain an Acetylene Torch, Duct-tape, and bolt cutters.
I just cannot comprehend how the American male has slid so far. Think about it. Guys actually wear glitter on their shirts (Douchebags). And Guys actually wear super tight jeans (Hipsters).
If you are keeping score, it is certainly a sign that The Apocalypse is coming.
Anyways, I finally figured out (kind of) what it is all about.
Hipsters and Douchebags are a Modern Day Mods and Rockers. (Keep in mind, the Mods and Rockers were way doper than the Hipsters and Douchebags)
Back in the day, “The Rockers considered Mods to be weedy, effeminate snobs, and Mods saw Rockers as out of touch, oafish and grubby.” Source
The great part about the Mods VS Rockers was that the constantly brawled each other. Hipsters and Douchebags don’t really seem to cross paths.
Somehow we need to get Hipsters and Douchebags going head to head (so to speak) and eliminate each other.
Come to think of it, Ill get to work on that.
(Once it breaks out, the smart money is on The Douchebags.)

I often wonder which is the lesser of two evils. I’d have to say the hipsters. I’ve gotten into too many near scuffles with douchebags over the years in clubs, I don’t know if its roid rage or what but they have no idea how to act when out and about.

This cracked me up! I spend a fair amount of time in bars and see both factions and have even see the deadly hybrid of douchebags at heart who are trying to look hipster. At least the douchebags aren’t probably going to breed due to the steroids and the hipsters will eventually die of malnourishment. Until then, stay clear of malls, because if there is going to be a brawl between the two, it’s there, right between american apparel and any store that still sells Ed hardy.

Good article, but I hate to break it to you, and I feel kind of bad pointing all of this out to you, you are a douchebag. If you use phrases like, “swooping fly girls,” that’s when you know you’re a bit of a douche. Talking about getting “lays” as if that’s all that’s worth something in life. That’s nearly as vapid and degenerate as being a hipster. Not to mention its creepy and will get you quickly labelled a tool, and a needy empty headed loser. I’m amazed youve gotten laid at all unless every girl you’ve been with is trash or you’ve just been so good at lying to them and faking your personality that they didn’t notice what an empty inflated ego you are. Feels good to be honest.

I’m afraid you have no idea what you’re talking about. Mod is Mod was is and will always be a “Way of Life” we haven’t turned into anything, the true Mods are still out there and would want nothing to do with your ‘hipsters’ and if my memory serves me correctly, I was on the beach at Brighton and the Mods kicked the shit out of the Rockers.
