Dinnertime Bandit trial gets under way
Evidence linking the accused Dinnertime Bandit in a career as a cat burglar to a series of Greenwich burglaries is unfairly prejudicial and should be suppressed, his lawyer, Howard Ehring, said Tuesday at Stamford Superior Court.
Opening statements in the trial of Alan Golder, the 53-year old New York man who is accused of four Greenwich break-ins a decade ago, was set to begin Tuesday afternoon.
The perpetrator of the crimes has been called the Dinnertime Bandit in reference to his hallmark method of breaking into homes in the early evening to steal valuable jewelry while his victims were in the house and unaware of his presence.
Ehring is seeking to quash testimony by Robert Liebman, who is expected to testify that he drove Golder to Greenwich to commit several burglaries.
“Physical evidence touted by the police and prosecutors does little to link Alan Golder to the crime,” Ehring said
Good enough for me, I think The Dinnertime Bandit should be innocent on all charges.

New Olympic Sport: Exotic Dancing
I haven’t been watching the Olympics too much because the US Boxing Team is on the ropes. And most of the sports are just way too boring, save of course, women’s gymnastics. Plus, I have just had a lot on my plate lately. (When I say “I have a lot on my plate, I mean I have been swooping tons of fly girls…fyi).
I came up with a great idea last night to really up the viewer ship of the Olympics: make Exotic Dancing an Olympic Sport.
I can’t believe no one has thought of this before.
Imagine (and I don’t mean Imagine who works at Seemless, real name Sarah either):
“And taking the Gold for the USA…Jasmine (real name Cindy) from The Spearmint Rhino in Las Vegas, Nevada!”
The Olympic committee should seriously consider this.

Del Mar: Parents complain of drugs at concert
A group of parents say enforcement of marijuana laws has gone up in smoke at concerts held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
“I was appalled that marijuana smoking was being done so overtly with no attempt to hide it,” said a Carmel Valley resident who said he attended 16 concerts at the state fairgrounds this summer.
“I was offered a couple of doobies myself,” said another parent.
Yet another parent complained that vendors at the fair were selling purses, T-shirts and jewelry containing images of marijuana leaves.
District Agricultural Association Board agreed to consider the group’s request, including a possible ban on smoking at the fairgrounds, at a future meeting.

See, this is why I hate Suburbia.
Shocked at weed smoking at a concert? (A Ziggy Marley concert no less.) Come on, where were these parents during the 60’s and 70’s? During Woodstock?
We need to focus on real problems.
Now they are going to ban all smoking at The Del Mar Race Track. Makes sense.
We are really creating a culture of cry babies in this country.

Dollar Weak, Game Strong
I was recently in a Nightclub in the Meatpacking district, or maybe it was West Chelsea. Not sure. No, it was Kiss & Fly. Or it could have been Marquee. Maybe it was Tenjune. I can’t remember. Like it matters anyways.
Regardless, I was attacking the spot with the kind of controlled mayhem not seen since the days of Lloyd “The Raggamuffin Man” Honeyghan, suited down, rakish as usual. Being the The Model Racker, Bean stacker, Zippo clacker you all know and love.
Taking a little break from the action, I went to the bathroom.
When I was tipping the bathroom attendant with a customary $20, the bathroom attendant was eyeing my Bankroll laced with dollars and colorful Euros.
He actually asked me if I could tip him in Euros instead of Dollars!
Wow. The dollar is pretty weak right now.
Walked back in the spot, spit some Game, and walked out the spot with a Moldovian Model Girl. So I am not really too bothered by it all.
Not bad for a Tuesday night.
