Why You Should Buy a Custom Suit

One of the most common questions I get when I am stopped on the Streets, Los Calles, and Las Avenidas of the world is: “Why should I buy a Custom Suit?”

Well, beyond the obvious, there are two main reasons:

Preserving an Artform

I have been known to a be a patron of the Arts (so to speak), and with Custom Suits, its no different.

In today’s age, the Tailor is an Endangered Species. These cats are old. And sadly, dying off. (Kind of like what Jim Rogers says about farmers and one of the reasons why the Agriculture sector is a solid long term play for your Bankroll).

I personally, don’t want to see that happen.

Help America

America is in pretty bad shape. One of many reasons we are in this position is because we don’t make anything anymore.

Last year, I moved over to an American Tailor. (Well, I am kind of lying, I still go to Savile Row every year to pick up some Custom Suits). My tailor is a legend in The Game and has made suits for Cary Grant and Frank Sinatra (and I won’t say any more because I don’t want to give away who he is.)

He charges a grip, but I would gladly pay double knowing how well they work. Hell, triple.

Bottom line, which would you rather wear?

A Custom Suit, made in The USA?

Or a glittery T-shirt and tight jeans made in China?

(If you answered the latter, go kill yourself. Or better yet, give me your address.)

KLM Airlines: The Official Airlines of International Playboys

Dutch carrier KLM introduced a program this month that lets participating passengers browse each other’s Facebook and LinkedIn profiles. See someone you like and you can request to sit next to them.

Side note I: I have a way for the Airlines to get themselves out of their precarious financial situation they find themselves in: Sell seats to International Playboys next to fly girls for a premium.

Hell, I would drop heavy scratch if they would sit me next to fly girls on each flight.

To the airline industry: Yes, I do accept thank you cards.

Good to see that these Airline CEO’s read The G Manifesto, but where is my thank you card?

I would rather they just sit me next to a fly girl on each flight, but this is a start. (Typical Corporations. They take a great idea, and screw it up.)

Here is a little article on The re-opened 5th Street Gym:

Through a slumping economy and a rapidly changing boxing landscape, the owners have established 5th Street Gym as a landmark in its own right.

The secret, Baiamonte said, is in the spirit.

“A lot of gyms are so money-hungry, that all they care about is, ‘OK, this is what you have to pay, and that’s it,’ ’’ Baiamonte said. “Here, we won’t do that. Here, it’s just being friendly. That’s the one thing Angelo always did: He was friendly with everybody.”

Baiamonte is one of several “Dundee disciples,” a group of trainers who honed their craft under the late Angelo Dundee. A self-described gym rat, Baiamonte began working with Dundee in 2000, and in 2009 he decided he wanted to reopen the 5th Street Gym. As he looked into different options, he joined forces with the Chicago duo of Spencer — also a trainer — and Tsatas —a businessman and boxing enthusiast.

All that’s left of the original location is a plaque, and so Baiamonte, Spencer and Tsatas bought a space one block north, at 555 Washington Ave.

Now, the 5th Street Gym’s legacy is displayed on the walls of the new location with fight posters dating to Muhammad Ali’s storied 1964 upset victory over Sonny Liston. Baiamonte even brought in a window from the original gym and the sign that welcomed visitors from 5th Street.

Still, the owners know they’ve got to pave a legacy of their own.

“Don’t try to copy,” Dundee told the trio. “You’ve got to create.”

Playing Dumb To Swoop Fly Girls

Many times when I swoop fly girls, I play dumb.

Here are some examples when playing dumb can be real smooth:

1. When you roll up to a nightclub you have on lockdown, say “what up” to the doorman and roll right in, many times girls will say, “Wow, I can’t believe you were able to get us in so quick. Did you see that line?”

You should then respond, “There was a line?”

2. When you are at a fly restaurant that you have on lockdown, and the dope Chef comes out to greet you and your date. Many times the girl will say, “Wow, that was so cool the Chef came out to greet us. He is famous right?”

You should then respond, “Was that the Chef? I thought that was the busboy.”

3. When you flash a ridiculous Bankroll to buy some drinks, the fly girl you are with will say, “Wow, why do you carry so much CASH on you?”

You should then respond, “Really? Is that not normal? I just was at the Del Mar Racetrack earlier today.”

4. When you are in Los Angeles and some famous actor guy comes up and gives you props, the fly girl you are with will say, “How do you know (Insert Weesh Actor Here)?

You should then respond, “He was an actor? I thought he was the waiter.”

5. When you are spitting Game to a fly girl that is really into brands and fashion, and she asks what kind of tie you are wearing and flips it over* to see the E. Marinella, and she says, “Wow, that’s a nice tie.”

You should then respond, “Is that a good brand of ties?”

And so on.

You get the broken picture.
